What we do with AI. What we will never do. No legalese.
Your images are never used to train AI — full stop.
The photos you upload and the headshots we generate for you are never fed into any AI training dataset. Not ours, not a third party's, not in anonymised form. This is a firm technical commitment built into how we store and process your data — it is not a setting you need to enable.
Your images are private and never made public.
Your uploads and generated headshots are stored privately on our infrastructure. Access is restricted to your account only. We do not display your images anywhere, share them with other users, or include them in any gallery, portfolio, or marketing material without your explicit written permission.
You own every image. We own nothing.
You own every photo you upload and every headshot we generate for you. We hold a limited technical licence only to deliver the service — nothing more. You can download, delete, and use your images however you choose.
Any processing partner we use is bound by strict data rules.
Wherever image processing happens, the same commitments apply: your photos are used only to generate your headshots, are never used to train any AI model, and are not retained beyond what is needed to deliver your results. If our processing setup changes in a way that affects your rights, we will update this page and notify you first.
We do not sell or share your data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or images to any third party for commercial gain. We do not share your images with casting platforms, agencies, or any other party without your explicit instruction.
We are transparent when things change.
If we introduce a new AI provider, change how images are processed, or update our data practices in any meaningful way, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect. You will always have the choice to delete your account and data first.
We built Simply Headshot because we believe actors deserve professional headshots without surrendering their likeness to a tech company. The current AI landscape is full of services that train on user images without clear disclosure. We refuse to do that. Your face, your photos, and your career belong to you — and we intend to keep it that way.

Is there any scenario where my images could be used for AI training?
No. We have designed our infrastructure so that images are stored in private, access-controlled storage and are never routed to any AI training pipeline. There is no opt-in or opt-out — the answer is simply no, by design.
What happens to my images if I delete my account?
All of your uploaded photos and generated headshots are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days of your account deletion request. You can also request immediate deletion by contacting support. We retain only the minimal billing and legal records required by law.
Do you use any third-party AI providers to process my images?
We may use trusted processing partners to help generate your headshots. Any such partner is bound by a data processing agreement that prohibits using your images to train AI models or for any purpose beyond delivering your results. If our processing setup changes in a way that affects your rights, we will notify you by email in advance and you will always have the choice to delete your account and data first.
